Is it just me, or have you worked your ass off, and you STILL feel like OCR have been a tad too general with what they are asking to do, especially with alternative questions for SEC B.. and the range you could possibly be asked on. I;m not saying im struggling or having huge problems, butit's just a bit nerve racking to know in SEC B that you could be asked on ANY of the perspectives, aprroaches, debates etc... when- if you have learnt A2 studies .... you probably haven't covered enough to be able to answers questions like C and have a range of AS and A2 studies - if they gaves us a topic e.g. Psychodynamic!!!

Get back to me with thoughts.

I think the idea is to study the basic points from each experiment and section. Memorize the important facts, such as the Experimenter's name, basic information on experiments and subpoints such as whether the study was ethical, ecologically valid, useful, and what equipment and resources were used.

Yes definitely i feel that's very true, But the problem is we don't have a great amount of time in the exam, and you can learn all the key facts etc, but when it comes to the exam you gotta be quick about it. I was just thinking, they made the topics a bit too broad e.g Approahces, methods, debates and issues! Perhaps just APproaches and Methods? But yes definitely learn the basic points. ALso, with A2 studies, which ones have you learnt, ive found if the exam is about Research methods, you can't physically do observations, because there's only 1 we'[ve learnt from a2 (and you know how you have to have a mix) Which A2 studies do you know? or anyone input your thoughts

right well I'm only working on my AS level now so I'm afraid I can't offer too much input on A2 studies. I'm also an independent student (meaning I basically study the level at home and then sit the exam at the British Council) so there's a lot of things I'm just trying to figure out on my own. I've found this site really helpful though, as I've taken all the quizzes and tests available on the Core Studies and I think that's helped me to become a lot stronger in this subject.

A list of Observational studies in A Level are the Paul and Lentz(1977) Study and the Pearse and Gudjonsson (1999) study. Sorry i Gauge this reply is late if you sat the January exam for Research Methods, however i only sat the Option Paper in January and i hope someone can make use of these studies
